Anthony Miro Born is a sociologist with a particular interest in housing and urban inequality.
Miro is an ESRC Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Methodology, London School of Economics and Political Science.
Miro’s research focuses on the causes and consequences of urban inequality. His writing has been published in several sociology and urban studies journals, including Urban Studies and The Sociological Review. His article ‘The Long Shadow of Territorial Stigma’ has been awarded the Best Article Award 2023 for the most innovative and agenda-setting article in Urban Studies.
He holds a PhD from the Department of Sociology, London School of Economics and Political Science. Before joining LSE, Miro has taught and worked at Goethe Universtiy Frankfurt, Humboldt University of Berlin, University of Potsdam, and Technical University of Berlin.
